Licensed online craps sites in New Jersey
New Jersey never created a separate class of internet casino. Under the Casino Control Act, each Atlantic City casino licence can carry internet gaming sites, run by the casino or by a partner. The Division of Gaming Enforcement publishes the result as a plain list and says that any site missing from it is not approved in the state.
That list, checked September 28, 2026, groups the sites under nine Atlantic City properties. Golden Nugget Atlantic City carries FanDuel, Golden Nugget and BetRivers. Resorts carries DraftKings and Hollywood Casino. Borgata carries BetMGM and Borgata Online, Hard Rock carries Hard Rock Bet and bet365, and Bally’s Atlantic City carries Bally Bet and Fanatics.
Caesars and Horseshoe sit under the Caesars Interactive entry tied to Tropicana Atlantic City. Other approved sites on the list, such as PokerStars, Ocean’s own site and betPARX, are outside what we cover here. PokerStars is a poker room first, and our crawl of betPARX found no craps title in the parts of its lobby that would load.
Why the casino partner matters to you
The land casino behind a site is not a marketing detail. It is the licence holder, it answers to a regulator with real enforcement powers, and on several sites its cage is a cashier. Hard Rock Bet and Bally Bet both list cash at their Atlantic City cage as a payment method in their New Jersey terms.
New Jersey craps sites compared
The table below lists the thirteen operators in our checks with the craps titles each one shows in its New Jersey lobby. The last two columns answer the questions craps players ask first: does craps play count toward the welcome offer, and how is the app rated on the App Store? Each name links to our full review.
| Operator | Craps titles in the NJ lobby | Formats | Craps counts toward the welcome offer? | App Store rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DraftKings | 6: Bubble Craps Live, Bubble Craps Live High Limit, DraftKings Craps, First Person Craps, Andrew Dice Clay Craps, Craps | live, bubble, first-person, RNG, variant | No, craps wagers do not qualify | 4.7 (110,224) |
| Golden Nugget | 5: Bubble Craps Live, Bubble Craps Live High Limit, First Person Craps, Andrew Dice Clay Craps, Golden Nugget Craps | bubble, first-person, RNG, variant | No, craps games are excluded | 4.7 (51,152) |
| FanDuel | 3: FanDuel First Person Craps, First Person Craps, Live Dealer Craps | live, first-person | Not stated; the $25 credit covers “table and slot” games | 4.8 (200,716) |
| BetMGM | 3: Craps (RNG), First Person Craps, Craps (live) | live, first-person, RNG | Not shown; deposit-match wagering varies by game | 4.7 (147,687) |
| BetRivers | 2: Craps, First Person Craps | live, first-person | No, craps is excluded | 4.9 (49,952) |
| bet365 | 3: Bonus Craps, Craps, First Person Craps | live, first-person, variant | No, only listed slots count | 4.3 (6,540) |
| Hard Rock Bet | 2: Craps Alive, First Person Craps | live, first-person | No, only slot losses count | 4.7 (15,719) |
| Hollywood Casino | 2: Live Craps, First Person Craps | live, first-person | No, spins are for slots | 4.7 (19,698) |
| Caesars Palace | 2: Live Dealer Craps, Go Craps | live, RNG | No, bonus funds are for select slots | 4.7 (28,506) |
| Horseshoe | 2: Live Dealer Craps, Go Craps | live, RNG | No, spins are slot-only | 4.5 (7,252) |
| Borgata | 2: Craps (RNG), Craps (live) | live, RNG | Not visible before sign-up | 4.7 (53,064) |
| Bally Bet | 2: Craps (RNG), Craps (live) | live, RNG | No, only slot wagers qualify | 4.6 (50,254) |
| Fanatics | 1: Craps | live | Not specified in the web terms | 4.8 (34,165) |
Two patterns stand out. Only DraftKings and Golden Nugget deal bubble craps, and between them they carry eleven of the thirty-five listed titles. And no operator in the table plainly lets craps play count toward its welcome offer. The best you get is FanDuel’s wording, which neither names craps nor rules it out.
Bonuses and craps in New Jersey
For online craps in New Jersey, read the offer terms first. We checked every New Jersey welcome offer on September 28, 2026, and the most common rule for craps players is exclusion. Offers change often, so treat what follows as a snapshot and confirm the current terms on the operator’s own promotions page before you deposit a dollar.
DraftKings asks for a $5 qualifying wager and pays 1,000 Flex Spins over twenty days, but craps and Electric Poker wagers do not count toward that $5. Golden Nugget runs the same structure with a choice of $50 in Crown Cash or 500 Flex Spins, and it excludes craps games from both. A craps-only player earns neither.
The lossback offers work the same way. BetRivers returns day-one losses up to $500 as 1x bonus money but excludes craps, sic bo and related games. Hard Rock Bet counts only slot losses toward its return of up to $1,000. Hollywood Casino runs a spins offer instead: bet $5 and get 300 Bonus Spins, played on slots.
Offers built around slots
The deposit matches lean on slots too. bet365 matches up to $1,000 but counts only a named list of slot games toward its 15x requirement. Caesars Palace pairs a $10 no-deposit bonus with a match up to $1,000, both for select slots. Horseshoe’s 500 Bonus Spins cannot be used on table games or live dealer games.
A few offers leave the question open. FanDuel gives 1,000 Bonus Spins on Huff N’ Puff slots plus a $25 casino bonus that its terms say works on table and slot games, without naming craps. Fanatics offers up to $1,000 back in casino credit on eligible games, and its web terms do not list which games are eligible.
What does that mean for a craps player? Plan as if the welcome offer is worth nothing to your dice play, and pick a site for its tables instead. If you also play slots, the offer can still be worth claiming, but a craps bankroll should never be sized around bonus money you cannot clear at the table.
Live craps in New Jersey: live dealer, first-person and bubble
Online craps in New Jersey comes in four kinds of table. Live dealer craps streams a real table with real dice from a studio. First-person craps is Evolution’s animated version of that table, dealt by software. Bubble craps rolls dice inside a sealed dome. RNG craps is a computer-dealt layout, and a few of branded variants add their own twists.
Live dealer tables and their limits
Live craps in New Jersey is the widest category: twelve of the thirteen operators list a live table, Golden Nugget being the exception. Where limits are posted, they run from $0.50 to $5,000 at FanDuel, Hollywood Casino and Fanatics, and from $1 to $5,000 on DraftKings’ live Craps table. FanDuel and Hollywood Casino both name Evolution as the provider.
One practical warning from our check: Hollywood Casino’s Live Craps tile showed “Opening Soon” when we looked at 8:00 in the morning Eastern time, so a live table may not run around the clock. The computer-dealt games never close. Our guide to live dealer craps explains betting windows and how a studio roll is settled.
First-person and bubble craps
First Person Craps from Evolution appears at DraftKings, Golden Nugget, FanDuel, BetMGM, BetRivers, bet365, Hard Rock Bet and Hollywood Casino. FanDuel also runs its own branded version. Both FanDuel tables post the same $0.50 to $5,000 range, which makes them the cheapest posted way to see Evolution’s craps layout without a live studio’s pace.
Bubble craps is rarer. DraftKings and Golden Nugget both list Bubble Craps Live from BlackThrone at a $1 minimum and a High Limit version at a $5 minimum. The dice bounce inside a glass dome instead of down a table. Our page on bubble craps covers how the machine settles bets and why the pace differs.
RNG tables and variants
The quietest online craps in New Jersey is software-only. DraftKings Craps and Golden Nugget Craps are in-house RNG games, Caesars Palace and Horseshoe both carry Play’n GO’s Go Craps, and BetMGM, Borgata and Bally Bet list RNG craps without naming a provider. Andrew Dice Clay Craps appears at DraftKings and Golden Nugget, and bet365 lists Bonus Craps.
What a session of online craps in New Jersey costs
Speed is what separates online craps in New Jersey from the Borgata pit. An RNG table settles a roll the moment you click, while a live studio waits for betting windows. The house edge per bet does not change with the screen, so a faster table simply decides more of your money every hour.
The cheapest play is the same on every site in the table above. A pass line bet costs 1.414% of each dollar decided, and adding 3-4-5x odds lowers the combined edge to 0.374% of everything you put on the layout. The field costs 5.556%, and any seven costs 16.667%. Try your own stake and pace below.
Run the calculator twice, once at a live table’s pace and once at an RNG pace, and the gap tells you more than any bonus headline. A player who likes the software tables but wants a bankroll to last can simply slow down. Our bankroll management guide turns those hourly figures into a session budget.
Signing up: age 21, identity checks and geolocation
Opening an account asks for more than a shop would. You give your legal name, date of birth, home address, email and the last four digits of your Social Security number. The site checks those details against public and credit records to confirm you are a real adult aged 21 or older before it takes a deposit.
If the automatic check fails, the site asks for a photo of a driver’s license or passport and sometimes a recent utility bill. This step is a licence condition, not a sales tactic. It protects you as well, because a verified account is much harder for someone else to open in your name or to empty.
Location, not residence
What counts is where your device is, not where you live. A visitor from Ohio can play from an Atlantic City hotel room, while a Newark resident on a trip to Philadelphia cannot. Before a real-money session the site checks your position through Wi-Fi networks, GPS on a phone or a small location plug-in on a desktop.
Near the border that check can be fussy. Players along the Hudson or the Delaware River are sometimes blocked because the phone picks up a signal from New York or Pennsylvania. Turning on Wi-Fi and moving a little inland usually fixes it. A VPN will not get you in, and trying one can freeze the account.
Deposits and withdrawals on New Jersey craps sites
Paying for online craps in New Jersey depends on the site. BetMGM lists Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, PayWithMyBank, Apple Pay, VIP Preferred, PayNearMe and its own Play+ card. BetRivers adds Trustly online banking, Venmo, Discover and American Express. Hard Rock Bet names instant bank transfer, debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Cash still has a place. Bally Bet lists cash at the Bally’s Atlantic City cage, Hard Rock Bet lists the Hard Rock cage, and BetRivers offers RushCash at Golden Nugget. Withdrawals usually go back through the method you used to deposit, and the first one can take longer while the site finishes its identity checks.
How to check a New Jersey online casino is licensed
Checking a site for online craps in New Jersey takes a minute. Open the DGE’s page of internet gaming sites and find the exact web address you plan to use. It names each approved site under its Atlantic City casino and says plainly that any site not on the list is not approved to offer internet gaming in New Jersey.
The site itself should back that up. A licensed New Jersey online casino states its DGE approval in the footer, such as BetMGM’s line that it is licensed as an internet gaming operator under the Casino Control Act, and checks your location before real-money games load. A site that skips either step is not one to trust with a deposit.
Offshore sites fail both tests. They do not appear on the DGE list, they carry no New Jersey licence line and they have no regulator in Trenton to answer a complaint. Every operator we review for online craps in New Jersey appears on that list, and that is the first thing we checked, before any table or offer.
Land-based craps in New Jersey
Online craps in New Jersey is only half the story. Every casino with a dice pit sits in Atlantic City, because state law limits casino gambling to the city. We count nine: Bally’s, Caesars, Hard Rock, Ocean, Resorts and Tropicana on the Boardwalk, and Borgata, Golden Nugget and Harrah’s Resort in the Marina District.
Borgata and Hard Rock both publish that they deal crapless craps, where the 2, 3, 11 and 12 become points on the come-out. That sounds friendlier, but the pass line edge on a crapless table is 5.382% against 1.414% on a standard one. Our page on crapless craps runs the full comparison.
None of the nine publishes a fixed craps minimum or odds limit, because both move with the day and the crowd. Call the table games desk on the day and ask for the minimum at your arrival time and the odds allowed behind the line. For the layout itself, a round on our free craps table is a cheap rehearsal.

Responsible gambling in New Jersey
Every licensed New Jersey site offers deposit limits, time limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion, and the DGE runs its own self-exclusion programme covering every licensed online casino in the state. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem and wants help, call 1-800-GAMBLER. Our responsible gambling page explains each tool.
Set the deposit limit before the first deposit, not after a bad night. Lowering a limit takes effect at once, while raising one usually means a waiting period. At a First Person Craps table that posts a $0.50 minimum, a $50 limit buys a hundred minimum pass line bets. Would you still take the odds behind every one of them?
