Where the craps tables are in Oregon
Oregon’s five craps rooms are far apart, so a trip here means picking one casino rather than hopping between several. Two are on or near the coast, one sits in the Coast Range foothills west of Salem, one is off Interstate 5 in the south, and one is in the far northeast near the Columbia Plateau.
| Region | Town | Casino with craps |
|---|---|---|
| Willamette Valley edge | Grand Ronde | Spirit Mountain Casino |
| Central coast | Lincoln City | Chinook Winds Casino Resort |
| South coast | Coos Bay | Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Coos Bay |
| Southern Oregon | Canyonville | Seven Feathers Casino Resort |
| Eastern Oregon | Pendleton | Wildhorse Resort & Casino |
For most Portland and Salem players, Spirit Mountain in Grand Ronde is the closest real dice table in Oregon. Chinook Winds sits right on the coast at Lincoln City, less than an hour further west. Portland players also have a second choice just across the Columbia, which our page on craps in Washington covers.
The south and the east
Seven Feathers in Canyonville is the pick for anyone driving Interstate 5 between Eugene and Medford, and the Ko-Kwel resort in Coos Bay, formerly The Mill Casino, serves the south coast with an electronic table. Wildhorse, near Pendleton, is the only craps room east of the Cascades in our data.
The casinos with craps in Oregon
With only five rooms, every one of them matters. Spirit Mountain, run by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, is the best documented, publishing both a $3 weekday minimum and 5x odds. Its location between Portland, Salem and the coast makes it the busiest route to craps in Oregon for many players.
Wildhorse Resort & Casino, run by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, publishes a $5 minimum, 5x odds and Bonus Craps. Seven Feathers, run by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians, lists the Fire Bet. Chinook Winds, run by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, deals live dice by the ocean in Lincoln City.
Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Coos Bay, run by the Coquille Indian Tribe, is the one Oregon casino in our directory that lists electronic craps rather than live dice. It suits a player who wants the game at a slower pace, often at lower stakes, and who does not mind a touchscreen in place of a stickman.

Oregon craps: dice, electronic and side bets
Four of Oregon’s five craps casinos deal live dice: Spirit Mountain, Chinook Winds, Seven Feathers and Wildhorse. Ko-Kwel in Coos Bay lists electronic craps, where bets go on a touchscreen and the machine produces the roll. None of the five lists crapless craps or a card-based game in our data.
The side bets are where the Oregon rooms differ. Wildhorse publishes Bonus Craps, with the All Tall, All Small and Make ‘Em All wagers that pay if a shooter rolls a full set of numbers before a seven. Seven Feathers lists the Fire Bet, which pays when a shooter makes several different points in one hand.
Both are long-shot bets with big payouts, and both cost a great deal more per dollar than the line. If you play one, keep it small and treat it as a lottery ticket riding alongside your main action. The main action itself should be a pass line bet with as much odds as the table allows.
Table minimums and odds the casinos publish
Oregon is one of the better-documented states in our directory, with three of five casinos publishing at least one figure. Spirit Mountain lists a $3 minimum on weekdays from 10am to 3pm, plus 5x odds. Wildhorse publishes a $5 minimum and 5x odds. Seven Feathers publishes its Fire Bet but no limits.
| Casino | City | What the casino publishes |
|---|---|---|
| Spirit Mountain Casino | Grand Ronde | $3 minimum (weekdays 10am-3pm), 5x odds |
| Wildhorse Resort & Casino | Pendleton | $5 minimum, 5x odds, Bonus Craps |
| Seven Feathers Casino Resort | Canyonville | Fire Bet |
A 5x odds limit is worth more than it sounds. The odds bet pays true odds and carries no house edge, so with 5x behind a $3 line bet you can have $18 in action on a point while the casino earns its edge on only $3 of it. That is a very cheap way to play live craps anywhere.
The weekday window at Spirit Mountain is the detail to plan around. Outside those hours the published $3 game may not run, and weekend evenings usually bring higher minimums. If you want the low table, arrive on a weekday before mid-afternoon, and call first, because published hours can change without much notice.
Is craps legal in Oregon?
Yes. Craps in Oregon is legal at tribal casinos whose compacts with the state cover the game. Oregon has no commercial casinos, so every craps table in the state is on tribal land, run by one of the nine federally recognized tribes. Each tribe has its own gaming commission, and the state keeps an oversight role under the compacts.
Each tribal casino sets its own age rules, so if you are under 21, check the minimum age with the casino before you visit. For players, the tribal status changes little at the rail: the layout, the bets and the true-odds payouts behind the line match what you would find elsewhere, and dealers run the game the same way.
Online craps in Oregon
Online real-money craps is not licensed in Oregon. No app or website can legally take real-money craps bets from you while you are in the state, and offshore sites that advertise to Oregon players hold no US license. If a deposit or payout goes wrong there, no state regulator can step in for you.
Seven states license online casinos, led by New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and you must be physically inside one of them to play. Our page on online craps in Michigan shows what a licensed market looks like. In Oregon, the online option is our free craps table, which costs nothing.
The free table plays by standard rules, so you can practice the pass line, the odds and the side bets described above before a drive to Grand Ronde or Pendleton. If you have never played, our guide on how to play craps explains the come-out roll, the point and every bet on the layout in plain order.
Tips for a craps trip in Oregon
Call the casino before you set off. With only five craps rooms in the state, a closed table can mean a wasted drive, and smaller properties may run one game at set times. The casino’s own website and phone line are the reliable sources for hours, minimums and odds, and the pit can tell you which days are quietest.
Think about the weather and the passes. The coast rooms at Lincoln City and Coos Bay and Wildhorse in Pendleton all involve mountain or coastal driving, and winter storms can make that slow. Our casinos directory lists each address and phone number, and the other state guides help if you want to add a Washington or Nevada stop.
Playing craps in Oregon responsibly
Pick a loss limit before you buy in, and stop when you reach it. A cheap $3 table makes it tempting to stay for hours, and side bets like the Fire Bet add up quickly. If gambling stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER for free, confidential help, and read our page on responsible gambling for practical tools.
Many Oregon tribal casinos offer self-exclusion, and the players club desk can explain how it works. A practical detail before you go: the published $3 game at Spirit Mountain runs on weekdays only, from 10am to 3pm, so if you arrive at four on a Friday, expect a higher minimum and ask when the next low table opens.
