Where the craps tables are in Florida
South Florida holds eight of the eleven. Along the Broward County coast you find Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Classic Casino and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, both in Hollywood, plus Harrah’s Pompano Beach, The Casino @ Dania Beach and Gulfstream Park Casino in Hallandale Beach. Miami adds Casino Miami and Magic City Casino.
Only three of those South Florida rooms deal live dice: the two Hollywood casinos and Coconut Creek, all Seminole. The other five are pari-mutuel casinos, built around horse racing or jai-alai, and they list craps as an electronic game. So a Miami player has machines close by, and a short drive north to Hollywood for the real thing.
Outside South Florida the map is short. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa serves the Gulf Coast and Central Florida, Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee sits inland from Naples, and Seminole Brighton Casino is near Lake Okeechobee. Orlando, Jacksonville and the Panhandle have no casino with craps on our list.
From Orlando or Jacksonville
Tampa is the nearest live table for most of Central Florida, roughly a ninety-minute drive from Orlando on Interstate 4 in fair traffic. From Jacksonville or the Panhandle, every Florida craps table is a long trip, and the choice is simply Tampa or the Broward coast depending on which way you are already heading.
Casinos with craps in Florida: the biggest rooms
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and its sister property in Tampa are the two giants, full resorts with hotel towers and large table-game floors. They are the likeliest places in the state to find several craps tables open on a weekend evening, and both publish crapless craps alongside the standard game.
Seminole Casino Coconut Creek is the third big live room, with crapless craps and an electronic version on the list. Seminole Classic in Hollywood, Immokalee and Brighton are smaller and may open fewer tables. Among the machine rooms, Magic City is run by Wind Creek Hospitality and Harrah’s Pompano Beach by Caesars Entertainment.

Florida craps: live dice, crapless tables and machines
The six Seminole casinos deal craps with real dice, the classic game from our how to play guide. The layout, the payouts and the calls match Las Vegas, so a snowbird who learned at the Golden Nugget downtown will feel at home in Hollywood or Tampa within a couple of rolls. Only the humidity outside is different.
Three of those six also publish crapless craps: Hard Rock Hollywood, Hard Rock Tampa and Coconut Creek. In crapless craps a 2, 3, 11 or 12 on the come-out becomes a point instead of winning or losing at once. It sounds friendlier, but the pass line edge climbs from 1.41% to 5.38%, almost four times as much.
The five pari-mutuel casinos list craps as an electronic game only. Electronic craps runs on terminals around a single bowl or an animated roll, and our page on electronic craps explains the formats. Minimums tend to sit lower than at a live table, so machines suit a first session at small stakes.
The bet that should carry your money
A pass line bet on a standard table wins 244 of every 495 decisions and costs 1.41% of what you bet on it over time. Take odds behind it once the point is set and the combined edge falls to 0.37% at a 3-4-5x limit. If a Seminole casino offers both tables, the standard one is the cheaper game.
Table minimums and odds in Florida
None of the 11 casinos in our directory publishes a craps table minimum or an odds limit that we could confirm in its own listings. Limits at busy resorts often move with the season as well as the day, and winter brings the snowbirds, and a phone call is the only reliable way to know what a table costs.
Ask two questions when you call. First, the minimum at the hours you plan to play. Second, the odds limit behind the line, since that is where the cheapest money on the layout sits. At 5x odds the combined house edge on a pass line bet drops to 0.33%, and at 10x it falls to 0.18%.
Is craps legal in Florida?
Yes, at the Seminole casinos. Craps in Florida became legal under the 2021 gaming compact between the state and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which added craps and roulette to the games the tribe may offer. The Seminole casinos opened their first live craps tables soon after, ending a long stretch with no live dice game in the state.
The compact makes the tribe the only operator of live craps in the state. The pari-mutuel casinos in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, the racetracks and the jai-alai frontons, are licensed through the Florida Gaming Control Commission and run slot machines and electronic games, which is why their craps comes on a terminal rather than a live table.
A 2018 amendment to the Florida Constitution also requires a statewide vote before casino gambling can expand, which makes a sudden wave of new craps tables unlikely. For a player the result is simple: live dice at six Seminole casinos, machines at five racinos and nothing live anywhere else. You need to be 21 to play.
Online craps in Florida
Real-money online craps is not licensed in Florida. The Seminole compact covers online sports betting, but internet casino games, craps included, remain off limits, and any site offering real-money craps there operates outside the law. Florida is not among the seven states licensing online casinos, led by New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, for players inside those states.
At home, our free craps table is the legal option. It runs standard casino rules with play chips and nothing to deposit, so you can practice the come-out roll, set a point and back it with odds before your first Seminole table. The rules match what you will meet in Hollywood or Tampa.
Tips for a craps trip in Florida
Plan around the Broward coast or Tampa. In South Florida, the two Hollywood casinos and Coconut Creek sit close enough for one evening, and the machine rooms fill in around them. Our casino directory shows every listed room with its address and variant, and the state guide compares Florida with the rest of the country.
Call ahead, especially in winter. The season fills Broward and Tampa tables, and a room that lists craps online may run fewer tables on a slow summer weekday. The casino’s own website and phone line are the only sources to trust on hours, limits and odds. Ask whether the table you want is standard or crapless.
Keep your chips on the line. The pass line and come bets with odds are the cheapest wagers in the building. A $5 Any Seven bet pays $20 when it hits and costs 16.67% of every wager over time, more than ten times the line, and the crapless layout adds its own higher edge on every line bet.
Playing responsibly
Set a budget before you arrive and keep it apart from money for the rest of the trip. Help is available at any hour through 1-800-GAMBLER, and Seminole casinos offer self-exclusion for guests who want a break. Our responsible gambling page covers the warning signs and the tools that help you stay in control.
A last table detail from Hollywood: when both games run side by side, the crapless table can draw the louder crowd, because every come-out roll that would have been craps becomes a point instead. The noise is not a sign of better odds. Walk past it to the standard table, where the pass line still costs 1.41%.
