Who runs the Connecticut online casino market
Connecticut kept its casino gaming inside a tight circle. The state’s own press release on the October 2021 launch named three licence holders: the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, the Mohegan Tribe and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe. Each works through an online partner, which were Rush Street Interactive, FanDuel and DraftKings respectively, and both tribes may also offer an internet casino.
That last clause matters for craps players. The Lottery’s partnership covers sports wagering, so the online casino side belongs to the two tribes alone. There is no open licensing round where a dozen brands queue up, as there is in New Jersey. Two apps carry casino games in Connecticut, and each one is tied to a resort.
Oversight sits with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, whose Gaming Division regulates wagering across the state. The 2021 release also said the department had approved more than 130 games for the FanDuel and DraftKings apps at launch. That figure is five years old and covers every game type, so treat it as a starting point, not a current count.
DraftKings and Foxwoods: the Mashantucket Pequot licence
DraftKings runs the online casino for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, the owner of Foxwoods Resort Casino. Its Connecticut state page describes the product as regulated state-wide by the Department of Consumer Protection and on-reservation by the tribal nation. That dual wording is unusual. It reflects the fact that the licence starts on sovereign tribal land.
DraftKings’ promotion terms, read on September 28, 2026, list Connecticut beside Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia as places where a player must be physically located to take part. So the brand is active in the state today. What we could not do was open its Connecticut lobby, because our checks ran from a New Jersey connection.
In our DraftKings review the New Jersey lobby shows six craps titles, including two bubble craps games, Evolution’s First Person Craps and a live table posted at $1 to $5,000. None of those six is confirmed for Connecticut. Lobbies differ by state, and a title you see in Atlantic City may simply not exist on the Connecticut app.
FanDuel and Mohegan Sun: the second licence
The Mohegan Tribe’s online partner is FanDuel, according to the same 2021 announcement. Mohegan Sun is the tribe’s resort in Uncasville. Our September 2026 checks did not find a FanDuel-branded Connecticut casino site: the state subdomain did not resolve, and FanDuel’s welcome terms cover Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia only.
Those terms do mention Mohegan Sun Casino as a sister brand, which fits the partnership, but we could not open that product either. So this page makes no claim about which craps games FanDuel or Mohegan Sun deal online in Connecticut. In New Jersey, FanDuel’s lobby lists three Evolution craps tables posted at $0.50 to $5,000.
That gap is worth stating plainly. Plenty of pages write confident game lists for every state, and most of them are copied from the New Jersey lobby. We would rather tell you what we saw. If you are in Connecticut, the app itself is the only reliable list, and the Department of Consumer Protection approves what appears on it.
What craps a Connecticut online casino can deal
The formats themselves are no mystery, because the same studios supply every regulated US market. A computer-dealt RNG game settles each roll with a random number generator. A live table films real dice in a studio. First Person Craps from Evolution is an animated table that runs on its own clock, and bubble craps rolls dice inside a sealed dome.
Whichever format turns up, the bets carry the same maths as a casino pit. The pass line costs 1.414% of every dollar decided, and odds behind it cost nothing at all. At a table offering 3-4-5x odds the combined edge on the pass line with full odds falls to 0.374%, which is as cheap as the game gets.
The expensive corner of the layout is the same online too. Any Seven pays 4 to 1 and carries a 16.667% edge, and the Field loses 5.556% when the 2 and 12 pay double. Our guide to live dealer craps shows how those tables work on camera, and free craps lets you practise the layout first.
Promotions and craps in Connecticut
The one Connecticut online casino promotion we could read in full belongs to DraftKings. Its multi-state terms, checked September 28, 2026, list Connecticut among the eligible states for a $5 qualifying wager that returns Flex Spins on selected slots. The qualifying rule is what a dice player should read: craps games and Electric Poker are excluded from the qualifying wager.
In practice that means a craps session does not start the offer at all. The spins themselves only work on slots, so a craps player gets nothing from the promotion unless they also play the eligible games. Offers change often, and we saw no Connecticut terms from FanDuel, so we do not describe one here.
This pattern is not special to Connecticut. Across the thirteen sites in our online craps reviews, most welcome offers exclude craps from qualifying wagers or from bonus play. The low house edge is the reason: a pass line bettor with odds would clear a playthrough far too cheaply for the casino’s liking.
How to check a Connecticut online casino is licensed
A licensed Connecticut online casino has to be tied to one of the two tribes, so the check is short. The app should name its tribal partner and the Department of Consumer Protection in its terms or footer. DraftKings, for example, cites both the department and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation on its Connecticut state page.
Anything else offering casino games to Connecticut residents sits outside that system. Offshore sites and so-called social casinos do not answer to the department, and no Connecticut agency can help you recover a balance from one. Our responsible gambling page lists support services, and 1-800-GAMBLER is the national helpline for anyone worried about their play.
Land-based craps at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun
For real dice, Connecticut has two addresses, both tribal resorts. Foxwoods Resort Casino sits at 350 Trolley Line Boulevard in Mashantucket and lists craps among its table games. Mohegan Sun, at 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard in Uncasville, says it runs nine craps tables across its two casinos, so you are never far from a game.
Foxwoods adds something unusual. Its Arena is a stadium-style room of betting terminals linked to live baccarat, blackjack, craps and roulette tables, and the resort says a player can follow four live games at once. It is closer to electronic craps than to a pit, but real dice decide the rolls.
Neither resort publishes its craps minimums or odds limits on the pages we checked, so ask at the pit before you buy in. A quick question to the dealer costs nothing. The directory below has both casinos with their addresses, and the wider casino directory covers every US state that deals dice.

One detail to check at the rail
At Mohegan Sun, with nine tables across two casinos, the useful question is not the minimum. Ask the dealer what odds the table allows behind the pass line. At full 3-4-5x odds your combined cost drops from 1.414% to 0.374% of the money in action, and on a $10 line bet that odds rule is worth more than any minimum.
